Draco

Draco is the constellation of the Northern hemisphere of the sky that is situated near the pole. This constellation has 210 stars that can be seen with the necked eye. 80 stars of this constellation have the brightness more than 6m.
This constellation takes the Ursa Minor from three sides and stretches from the Ursa Major to the Cepheus. It is possible to note several stars that make the asterism that is the head of the dragon with the bright star. It is possible to watch other stars of the constellation following this star.
According to the Greek myth this dragon was Ladon who was the dragon put in the garden by Hera to guard the tree with golden apples. When Hercules was taking these apples he killed the dragon. Another myth connects this constellation with Argonauts. This dragon was guarding the Golden Fleece. There is also the version according to which this dragon was Python.
The north pole of the ecliptic is situated in the constellation of Drago. The planet accumulation is situated near the Drago constellation and is very beautiful thanks to its green and blue colours.
In November 2007 astronomers discovered that the star of this constellation is practically the exact copy of our sun.
The α Dra is the star nearest to the North celestial pole during the period since 3700 till 1500 BC. Thanks to procession it will become the same in 21 000 year AC.
