Virgo

Virgo is the zodiac constellation that is situated between the Lion and the Libra zodiac constellations. The modern constellation of Virgo has the autumnal equinoctial point.
Virgo has the accumulation of galaxies at the distance over 60 millions light years. It has not less than 1500 members that are spiral galaxies, sources of radiation, etc. The galaxy Sombrero is almost seen. It was named in such way because of the dark dust line that was crossing the equator plane.
Usually the sun enters this constellation on September 16. This is the ancient constellation that was already thought to be constellations by ancient people. Greeks saw the most different goddesses and heroes in this constellation. But the most famous variant of myth is that this constellation is Demeter that is the goddess of fertility and agriculture.
The image of Virgo has the ear. Another bright star of the constellation is Vindemiatrix. It was though to be the young man turned into the star. He was the lover of Dionysus who was the god of wine and fertile powers of the land.
Sometimes people even refer the name "Virgo" to Santa Maria.
